A project that presented a unique opportunity as well as a challenge was our Home.

Designing a Home for two Architects
Designing a Home for yourself
Designing a home for your spouse who is also an Architect

It was to create energy; an exciting roller coaster journey we took upon for ourselves.

Embracing Clean lines, creating open spaces and a canvas for each of our personalities and design sensibilities to shine.
2550 Sqft Penthouse that was transformed to be our home.

The Lower floor planning was modified to suit a more modern and open lifestyle. Walls made way for screens, panels and art in different forms .
The living room, family room, dining area seamlessly integrate extending to the Kitchen. Capturing all that nature has to offer light and light, ventilation and views of the tree canopies around.
Material textures all seem to naturally coexist, with furniture, books, music and art.
Bathrooms were about experiences and feelings of colour.
The artificial lighting is designed to disappear. Evenings are set with art being highlighted and ceilings glowing with the use of magnetic recessed track lights and hidden linear lighting profiles.

The Upper floors is our happy space, the bedrooms all which open out into a 800 sqft terrace space. This terrace is an extension of our bedrooms and living areas, used for entertaining, exercise, work and just unwinding with nature. The daughter’s bedroom is a reflection of her requirements. She loves the texture of brick, natural materials with her tones and splashes of colour. While needing space for her Lego art projects and friends.
The architect’s bedroom is a bed floating between 3 screen doors and a sabyasachi wall paper. Each screen allows for numerous experiences of the space like an art installation that lets the user articulate the light, views and privacy.

The design of the home is the balance between the two architects and the constant need to define their space as a home of one’s personal expression.
The house brought us the opportunity to design a space that fosters creativity, functionality and aesthetic appreciation and at the end of the day a place to relax and just be ourselves.
