Godrej Royale Woods – Eat Street

Eat street is a dynamic intervention, similar to a food court, nestled within a thick plantation of trees. The site is located abutting a highway and is shared between a residential development in the back and the eat street in the front. The building follows a temporal and pronounced form, wherein stacked containers are used to create multiple levels. By using the logic of solid and void, there is an attempt to create spill out spaces and corridors, to establish a smooth transition between the inside and the outside. Though highly inorganic in nature, the building sits gently within the precinct of the thick foliage, as though it has just landed in the woods and created a harmonious synergy with its surrounding.
